To register for participation in the instrumental and vocal music program just fill out the interest flyer with your registration packet, or contact the music teacher, Mrs. Davis.
Placement in intermediate level instrument classes will be based on audition.
All music students receive a letter grade for participation in music.
There is no charge to participate however you must provide your own instrument. A parent meeting is held at the beginning of the school year where you can get more information regarding instrument rental.

Classroom Music

Every student has classroom music instruction weekly. The music curriculum includes singing, performance, music history and appreciation, note reading, instrumental instruction (at some grade levels) and integration with other curriculum areas, as appropriate. Music is an academic course and students receive a letter grade based on participation, effort and academic performance.

All students are required to participate in the annual Christmas or Advent program. Seventh grade students are required to participate in the Baccalaureate Mass and/ or Graduation ceremony. Sixth grade presents a Living Stations of the Cross performance during Holy Week. These performance opportunities are all required aspects of the classroom music grade.

Choir

The school choir sings at all Sunday Family Masses (generally the second Sunday of every month), Christmas Eve Family Mass, First Eucharist, and the Diocesan Choral Festival. A calendar is provided in September, giving all required dates.
