Looking for a way to make new friends, learn a new skill, and have fun? You’ll always find something fun and enriching to do at St. Mary School. Here’s just a few of the opportunities available…

Yearbook Club
Each year a beautiful full-color yearbook is produced by a dynamic group of students and their teacher moderators. Moderators select up to ten Eighth grade students based on their individual skills (i.e. leadership, cooperation, self-motivation, and flexibility). Each student must maintain a minimum of a “C” in all subjects and a “B” in Christian Citizenship (conduct). The committee meets throughout the year, including some weekends. Students learn the ins and outs of photography, layout, graphic design, writing and more! And we all are rewarded with a professional, 100-page memento of a wonderful school year. |

Creature Camp
Creature Camp has become a much-anticipated tradition for sixth graders at St. Mary School. Our students spend a week at Camp Pendola exploring life science, the environment and the great outdoors. We recruit young alumni to serve as Cabin Captains, so Mom and Dad get a week off, and kids get a taste of independence in a safe and secure environment. Fund raisers led by the sixth grade ensure that every student is able to attend. |

Poster Pals
Artists in training can find an outlet for expression, and do a service for the school at the same time! Poster Pals meet once a month to create posters for any school event. Any club or parent event can submit a poster request. Our budding Graphic Artists will create posters and put them up around campus – free of charge. Thanks to this group for keeping us informed, and generating school spirit! |

Baton
Spangly costumes and dance your thing? Baton Twirlers meet after school weekly, under the direction of DeAnn Strangeland. This energetic group perfects their moves and performs in local parades, at school rallies, and once a year at Disneyland! |
 |
Academic Decathlon
The Decathlon is open to 7th and 8th graders. This group meets after school several times a week. They engage in intense preparation for a spring competition with other Diocesan schools. The winners of the spring competion go on to the state finals. Good luck to all our hard working Academic Decathetes. |

Technology Club
Did you think technology was all computers and numbers? Not in the afterschool technology club. Students can explore their inner diva, staring in their own digital movie, complete with special effects and graphics. They can program Robotic Romers and learn engineering using Legos -- all the while learning and applying important technological skills. |
